Happy November! I have been absolutely terrible with sharing about travels on our Mind Over Matter Travel social medias, but I promise it's coming! We've had some great trips this year and are planning some epic ones for 2026. If you have any exciting trips coming up next year, I'd love to hear about them and answer any questions if they are destinations we've visited before. Feel free to message us any time; we always love talking travel! Disclaimer: Some links shared in this email may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no additional cost to you. What's new for Mind Over Matter Travel? While MOMT content has been lacking, our Azores content is nonstop! We just started (like yesterday) our Azores Discovered TikTok and YouTube channels if you want to go support us on those platforms. Where we've been recentlyWe've enjoyed time home in California but spent some of our weekends in Los Angeles and Sacramento this past month. Los Angeles was for my bachelorette party where friends and I went to Halloween Horror Nights, Rocky Horror Picture Show at Hollywood Cemetery, Hamburger Mary's Drag Brunch, and more! It was the perfect way to kick off October. Sacramento is always our little escape from our small hometown, but one special event there this month was a Yung Gravy concert at the Ace of Spades venue. These little weekend escapes are the only way we can stay sane when being home for months at a time, and they're always such fun experiences! Are you interested in visiting any of these destinations? We are here to help and provide personal recommendations based on our experiences. We offer FREE travel planning and booking services. Complete our travel planning inquiry, and we will reach out for an initial consultation. Favorite experienceWhile Zac didn't get to partake in this experience, I'm rating my Hollywood bachelorette party as one of the top experiences this past month! We got to do some of my favorite things from the amusement park to the escape room to shows. Los Angeles is never short on things to do, and I'm already ready to go back and do more! Bucket list travel opportunityA key way to have a transformative travel experience is to take advantage of travel opportunities. I found this one for you: Win a Universal Orlando Resort Experience! The Coca-Cola X McDonald’s Universal Epic Universe is back, and you can enter for a chance to win a Universal Orlando Resort Hotel and Park Experience or tickets to Universal Epic Universe (which I'm dying to go to!). As I mentioned in the previous section, I love amusement parks, and Universal Orlando is such fun one! Enter here before November 13th for your chance to win! Practical travel tipFor an enjoyable experience, it's always best to travel smarter, not harder. Here's a tip that can help for your next trip: Download offline maps! Before heading anywhere new, open Google Maps and download the area for offline use. That way, even if you lose service, you can still find your hotel, restaurants, or gas stations. It’s especially helpful in places with spotty data coverage or when you don’t have an international plan. Travel must-havesIf you don’t already travel with a microfiber towel, the Rainleaf microfiber towel is the one I always recommend. It dries super fast, packs down tiny, and still feels soft instead of that sticky microfiber texture. It’s perfect for beach days, hikes, or when your Airbnb/hostel doesn’t have extra towels. I take mine everywhere we go! What's next? For the rest of the year, we plan on spending our time in California visiting places like Sacramento, Yosemite, and more! If you want to follow our journey, connect with us on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. As always, thanks for being here 🤗 ✨ Elaina |
